Varyflex V2 for carton: no limits technology
September 8, 2012
Pragati Pack owned by Narendra Paruchuri is a celebrated company involved in the production of packaging and based in Hyderabad, India.
Pragati Pack has always been at the forefront of new technologies and has taken a historical step when choosing to install a Varyflex V2 in-line folding carton press by OMET in 2012. Pragati Pack is a family-owned company where three generations are passionately involved in turning out state-of-the-art printed products, which won important awards for print excellence both at national and international level. They won the Sappi Elephant award in 2006, 2008 and again in 2010.
The Varyflex V2 flexo platform press installed at Pragati Pack features a combination of UV flexo, rotogravure, cold foil and silk screen movable in every position of the press. Multi-process is the main added value along with the quality of UV flexo printing and in-line converting. In such configuration the press can perform in one pass any added value job, which would otherwise request several passages offline to be completed. It is therefore possible to print, reverse print, foil, overprint, metallize, relief print and convert.
OMET Varyflex V2 in the special carton configuration is a revolutionary package printing press mainly conceived for offset printers who aim at increasing their margin performance on complex short runs jobs. Its special design suits perfectly carton printing and converting and is ideal for food, tobacco, fast moving consumer goods, pharma and cosmetic packaging.
Hemanth Paruchuri with the entire Team at Pragati are excited about the capabilities of this press. He says: “We are impressed by the wide range of substrates that can be printed on the press, from 12 micron all the way up to 600! It’s very important for us to measure what opportunities this will bring to us in the carton business. The press is very versatile and offers unlimited possibilities of expansion.”
